BTW

So for awhile I have been yearning to meet others in the food blogging community. It's always easy enough meeting people in the theater industry- I see them everyday and tell them to stop calling me, and no, I'm not interested in doing a movie with Dustin and Emma! But meeting people in the food world seems to be more difficult. And I thought just contacting random food bloggers and asking them out on... blind dates(?) would be really weird and the kind of thing that stalkers do. Yes it is. You know it is.

But lately my food blogging world has started to open up. I think it all started when Sam featured me as blogger of the week which got me in touch with The Restaurant Whore, Joy. And we found out that we both act, teach and love food! So I went to see her show last week at The New Conservatory Theater.  Besides it being slightly odd that there were only six women in the audience, the show was fun. Go see it.

Then, I got to go out to the Zuni Cafe with the other foodies/food writers that came to the play that night:

Meeting Sam, Amy, Lee, and Amanda was a ton of fun- I love a night where the company is more memorable than the food.  They all have had awesome travels lately that were fun to hear about.  And Amanda even sent back my fries because they were too cold!  I'm way too much of a wimp to ever send food back. I just sit and suffer. I need to learn not to do that.

But my burger was awesome and did not have to be sent back:

Yum.

It was great meeting you and hanging out. When you eat out with bloggers, watch your fries!
