So your culture for this week in brief: Felix and I saw Billy Crystal in 700 Sundays on Friday at the Golden Gate Theater. We almost didn’t go because the tickets were expensive but in my opinion they would have been worth twice as much. You might think that going to a solo show by a famous comedian/actor you would get a lot of ego talk about the movies he has been in and his career in general. He barely mentioned these at all- instead it was a tribute to the family that made him who he is. It was so humble and hilarious at the same time; Billy Crystal is a truly amazing performer and man. Felix and I laughed for about 2 ½ of the three hours we were there. If you ever get a chance to see this, please do. No questions, just go.
Oh, and a fun fact: Felix was sitting next to Nancy Pelosi! An usher came up to her before the show and told her about her VIP room and how she was going to get to meet Billy Crystal after the performance!
