Ok- so just as I wait for my cooking magazines to appear in my mailbox, ditto on the SF Zagat Survey 2006 . It’s not that I trust Zagat completely- there are people out there who will only go to Zagat rated restaurants. That is just foodist. Ok here’s an analogy: restaurant is to Zagat food score as high school student is to SAT . I’m sure restaurants ride all of their confidence on their Zagat food score- but it doesn’t necessarily correlate to their success in life.
So anyway…I got my Zagat Survey in the mail and I did the happy Zagat dance. Seriously. I danced. Actually, I bounced. I bounced up and down by the apartment mailboxes while lookers on smirked in disgust.
So the trends for the 2006 SF Zagat Survey: all ya’ll are downright upset with the quality of your food! While flipping through the survey, it seemed like a majority of the SF restaurants had lower food scores- with a couple of exceptions that I have listed below. So if you are looking for something good and new- maybe it’s time to try something good and old… that’s only getting better.
SF Restaurant- Zagat food score of 2005/ Zagat food score 2006
102 South Park St. (bet 2nd & 3rd)
4348 California St. (6th Ave)
1701 Octavia St. (bet Bush and Pine)
2209 Polk St. (Vallejo St.)
3108 16th St. (Valencia St)
You are the biggest looser!
Iluna Basque- last year we thought you were a 22, but now you’re only an 18! Ha ha- take that self esteem…
